What Clients Say:

“Ellen Daly managed to do in a few hours what I had felt paralyzed about doing for a few years. I cannot express how much better I feel without my piles. My business is running so much more smoothly since her visit.

Featured Report: 4 Essential Ways to Stay Organized

  1. RECOGNIZE that it is difficult to change. Accept the challenge of real change, and realize you may need repeated attempts to succeed. A quality of leadership is the ability to recover quickly from setbacks, to jump up, dust yourself off, refocus, and try again!
  1. ESTABLISH SIMPLE SYSTEMS. Complicated is not necessarily better. It is important to customize work systems to your type and thinking style, to what will work for your business. Be willing to use trial and error and to modify your systems if needed.
  1. DO IT DIFFERENTLY THIS TIME. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Ask for help. Don’t be a lone ranger, but do be willing to use the expertise of others. Recognize the symptoms of being stuck, and get help before you are overwhelmed.

Maintenance. Your office systems, closets, car interior, and paperwork all need “tune-ups” from time to time. As change occurs in your business, your systems may need reorganization. For example, when you purge your files annually, you can usually shred 50% or more of no-longer-relevant paperwork. It is also important to delete old file categories and add new ones to reflect new directions in your business.

  1. REFRAME. Think in a new way. Think of yourself as the change you want to be, not as the old patterns you want to shed. An old way of thinking might be, for example, ‘I struggle in my business.’ The reframe for that could be ‘I am creating all the business I need in 2008.’

Brag a little. Tell people about your new way of being, and celebrate your successes!
